New RF Transmitter from Solid State Supplies provides low cost solution for wireless security.
Adding to their growing range of home automation components, the new SX1223 RF transmitter from Solid State Supplies is a low power, single chip 2-FSK (two-level frequency-shift keying) transmitter designed for use with the European 433, 868-870MHz and US 902-928MHz ISM bands.
The highly integrated architecture of the SX1223 requires the minimum number of external components, thereby saving money while maintaining total design flexibility.
The key factor in development of the SX1223 was to extend the lifetime of battery-powered products without forcing users to compromise in terms of range. Because the transmitter is compatible with Semtech’s XE1203F and XE1205 transceivers, Solid State Supplies provides a complete solution while maintaining economy by using transmit-only instead of bidirectional links where appropriate.
Applications include: automated meter reading, home and building automation, wireless security systems, remote keyless entry, remote telemetry, and Konnex-compatible applications. The product is available in a TQFN24 4x4mm, RoHS-compliant package.
