With an internal flash program memory which can be reprogrammed up to 100,000 times and an internal EEPROM which can undertake up to a million read and write operations, a new range of I/O type microcontroller devices from Solid State Supplies also boast a – 40deg C to +85deg C operating temperature range and excellent noise immunity.
Consisting of five devices, the range is based on a Holtek 8-bit RISC core, Flash memory capacity of 1K - 8K, EEPROM capacity of 128 or 256 bytes and 64 - 224 bytes of RAM which provides a wide choice of flexible memory options.
The reprogramming facilities, along with an integrated ISP (In-System Programming) feature, provide the designer with a simple and expedient means for in-circuit program upgrades. The EEPROM data memory in each device can be used to store parameters such as calibration or other data, either during the production process or during normal device operation. As this type of memory is non-volatile in nature, it has the advantage of saving data even after power is removed.
The devices are supplied in a range of package types, including DIP, SKDIP, SOP, SSOP and QFP types, with a pin count of 18 to 64 pins making them ideal for applications in electrical appliances, security products, industrial control, consumer electronics and automotive peripheral products.
Fully supported by Windows based HT-IDE300 functional hardware and software development tools and features such as real time emulation, breakpoint functions and trace analysis, the component also has an integrated device programmer on board, giving designers all the necessary tools and support to ensure that their applications are efficiently developed and debugged.
